Response to Intervention has become a reality in the state of Tennessee, and many teachers are finding themselves with a lack of fundamental knowledge or training to deal with the challenges posed by such a massive initiative. RTI is nothing new, but now every child and teacher is effected in some way or another. As teachers in the field of Special Education, we have a unique place in the makeup of RTI, and can bring our experience into the fold.
